Perfect for us at Loews Resort

Posted by DAPelfrey from Virginia on 6/10/08
My wife and I stayed at the Loew's Resort for a week in early summer 2008. We enjoyed the fact we were close enough to Vegas to see what we wanted to see, but far enough away to still relax in relative quiet. We are not gamblers, so we didn't care at all about the casino. We did, however, appreciate the Mediterranean decor and found the prices on food and amenities reasonable. The service was great and the advice of the staff quite helpful in making the most of our stay. After visiting several of the best known hotels on the Strip, we were quite thankful we were staying at Loew's. We would definitely stay there again.

A Great Experience at Ritz

This was by far the nicest hotel in the Las Vegas area. Lake Las Vegas is a bit out of the way, but it is worth it. It's quiet, luxurious, and a wonderful place to relax. It's still close enough to the strip to have fun. The staff at the Ritz were all extremely helpful and polite. They provided complimentary cold, bottled water and also brought bottled water to your room for coffee. The rate for the room was very good considering the luxury of the setting. I don't recommend dining in the restaurant in the hotel, which is prohibitively expensive. Opt for the coffee shop in the nearby casino. We had a delicious salmon dinner for a very reasonable price. The shopping area and the ambience were all great. I would definitely return.

MonteLago Resort & Casino
What a place! As you fly in the Vegas from the east, look north as you pass over Lake Mead and you'll see this resort... a recreation of an Italian village, right on the water.

We stayed at Montelago in a fabulous two bedroom suite in Luna East Tower for all of $269 for August. The room was lovely... a full kitchen, two huge baths and two beautifully appointed BR's.
